It is with great sadness that Liverpool chess club announce the passing away of a club legend in Frank Ryan. Frank passed away peacefully and without pain at home on Tuesday evening.

With great sadness we have to report that Bob Platt has died in Southport hospital after a short illness.
Bob was a longstanding member of Formy Chess Club playing for the first team over many years and also was Treasurer for some time. Prior to Formby he had been a member of Waterloo and the Royal.
His connection with MCA chess went back well over 50 years.
The funeral will took place at Thornton Crematorium on Wednesday 19th April.
